The Golden Rule of Sales

Many sales agents and sales teams personify what they believe to be working for others and plenty of times the replicated techniques go completely against the Golden Rule of Sales....


Prospect how you would like to be prospected!


Do sneaky DM's or someone incessantly posting about a service or product entice you to want to purchase said service/product.


Do posts that shine negative lights on said industry convince you that now is the time to buy, sell, or invest?


Does content that bashes other competitors lure you into their products?


If those techniques do not work on you, why would they work on someone else? People are not ignorant of the game. In fact people are hyper attuned to sales games and schemes. Because, let's be real, at the end of the day all of these techniques are in fact schemes.


A better way to build business and sales are to "treat people the way you want to be treated." That is right, mom's old adage applies in business and NO you won't finish last. You will be the ultimate winner in this game of tortoise and the hare.


  • How would you want relationships built with you?

  • How would someone that is also your realtor/insurance guy/ car saleswoman show you that they care?

  • How often do you want to hear from your salesman?

  • What kinds of information would you like to know more of?


These are all questions, that if you explore, you will be much further ahead.


Sales is not as difficult as people make it. Yes, a great graphic is cool and can promote personal branding, but you also need that other touch that is underrated. Do a little of both and watch your sales take off over the next 90 days!
